Dynamic Criminal Defense Attorney

Need A Dynamic Criminal Defense Attorney?

Then You Need the Law Office of Loyd C. Tate!

I am a former Air Force officer, current community college professor, and a former high school football coach. After serving my country, I graduated from the ASU College of Law and became a trial lawyer. Beginning as a prosecutor with the Pima County Attorney’s Office I represented the State in prosecuting those who violated DUI law and other vehicular offenses. As a prosecutor I tried over 40 jury trials in only 15 months. As you can see, I have a wide range of life experience that serves me well in the practice of law.

After becoming a defense attorney at the Office of the Legal Defender, I was quickly thrust into defending more serious felony crimes, such as murder, kidnapping and major drug crimes. I was sought out by my colleagues to work with some of the more difficult serious offenders.

Now in private practice, I handle major federal criminal cases across the United States, and practice in both Arizona Superior Court and municipal (city) courts. To that end, I have tried over 70 jury trials. I approach every client with a focus on integrity, advocacy, and understanding. I am personally dedicated to ensuring that all of my clients are well taken care of, and I strive to ensure that I not only meet, but that I exceed, all their legal needs.

I have taught Criminal Trial modules at Arizona Summit Law School for 7 years, and I have been an adjunct professor at Chandler/Gilbert Community College for over 10 years. I find it a pleasure to give back to the legal community and do so whenever possible.
